August 12, 2025Restoration Work on the Historic Hedge House in Plymouth
We had the honor of installing the porch roof fringe at the Hedge House in Plymouth! Shea Custom Carpentry has always been fond of historic restoration and repairs, and we’ve had many opportunities on the Cape and throughout the South Shore to work on historic homes.
We are committed to helping keep history alive, and we want to thank the Plymouth Antiquarian Society for the opportunity to work on this beautiful property.
Founded in 1919, the Plymouth Antiquarian Society is Plymouth’s largest organization dedicated to preserving historic houses and landmarks. They serve as Plymouth’s historical society – the gateway to our community’s post-Pilgrim history. The Society owns and maintains three historic houses representing three centuries of Plymouth history: the 1677 Harlow House, the 1749 Spooner House, and the 1809 Hedge House, as well as an ancient Native American site, Sacrifice Rock.
